About the job

The group works with quality control in the processes of material procurement and plant modification. We work closely with engineering, maintenance engineers, receiving & storage, quality control colleagues in other engineering areas, purchasing and parts supply. Our focus is to ensure that the right requirements are set according to regulations and standards, and ensure that these are met before the devices are put into operation.

As a quality control engineer, you will be part of a team together with experienced employees with a wide range of expertise in, among other things, pressurized devices, mechanical components, lifting regulations and welding issues. It is a small, unpretentious group that together contributes to developing and maintaining the plant and our processes.

Your tasks:

  • Be coordinator for quality control in projects.
  • Be involved in quality control in the maintenance of the plants.
  • Participate in supplier visits and supplier assessments at suppliers.
  • Participate in the interpretation of new and existing regulations.
  • Participate in the development of industry-wide quality regulations, mainly KBM within PAKT (https://karnkraft.vattenfall.se/ringhals/entreprenor/pakt/).

As you develop in the role of project quality control coordinator, it will involve up to 30-40 days per year for various supplier visits and supplier assessments, both within Sweden and internationally.

Requirements

About you

We would like you to have:

  • A post-secondary education relevant to the position, preferably an engineer or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards regarding pressure vessels and/or lifting.
  • Work experience in quality control, especially pressure vessels and/or lifting.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.

Other areas where knowledge or experience may be meritorious:

  • Non-destructive testing (NDT) and its applications.
  • Additive manufacturing (AM) and quality control in the field.
  • Quality control in other areas, e.g.. construction according to SS-EN 1090-2.
  • Other knowledge in welded structures.
  • Knowledge of other materials, e.g. polymers, and its quality control.
