About the role
Vattenfall Värme Uppsala is responsible for heating, cooling and steam production in Uppsala, Knivsta and Storvreta. We heat 95 percent of all properties in Uppsala's urban area, mainly through energy-recovered waste from households and industries as well as residual products from forests.
As a Technician in mechanics, you work with varied tasks in mechanical maintenance. Your area of responsibility involves maintenance of plants for electricity and heat production with tasks such as:
The work is carried out on site at our plants. You will be part of a team of about 20 people consisting of maintenance engineers, mechanics, lubricators and vibration and bearing specialists. Collaboration takes place both within the own department and with the operating organization and hired contractors.
Requirement specification
It is meritorious if you also have limited electrical authorization for connection and disconnection.
We are looking for you who thrive in a role where you get to take on challenges and get to know new things. Facilities take time to learn and therefore it is important that you are thirsty for knowledge and like to work on improvements. You have the ability to see the big picture and are used to adapting to changing conditions and reprioritizing when the situation requires it. Furthermore, you have good interpersonal skills and can communicate and collaborate with other professionals within the organization.
