About the role

Do you work as an electrician and want to try something new? Does it sound interesting with a free job where you get to solve problems in the field? We are now looking for a new employee for the role of measurement technician!

Your role

As a measurement technician, you are part of the Maintenance group with 25 employees who are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the entire Gotland electricity network, of which three work with measurement. As a technician, your main task will be to ensure correct measurement and collection of measurement values that meet current rules and requirements for electricity market players. This includes ensuring that correct measurement data and information about meters is received. You will be responsible for ensuring that a functioning meter and infrastructure is in place for facilities that are in the management phase or to be connected to the electricity network.

In the group, we strive to work as a team and therefore you will also help in the other maintenance work at Gotlands Elnät. Since we are a group with broad skills and broad areas of responsibility, there are good opportunities for skills development.

Your tasks:

• Assembly of metering equipment
• Connection and disconnection of electricity for distribution in the distribution network, including temporary installations
• Disconnection of customer installations in the event of, for example, non-payment or at the customer's request
• Quality control of customer installations and electrical power installations
• Quality control of reception conditions in the GSM/GPRS network and rectification of detected fault sources
• Quality analyses in metering/collection systems

Requirements specification

We are looking for you who have:

• Education in electricity or experience of electricity (either through work as an electrician, industrial electrician or similar)
• A minimum of one year's work experience in the electrical profession
• Knowledge of electricity network operations and understanding of the structure of the electricity network
• Good computer skills and digital working methods
• Driving license B is a requirement

More advantageous is:

• Experience of working as, for example, an electrician, distribution, service, or measurement technician with customer contact
• Experience of working with electricity meters category 1-5
