About the role

We at Vattenfall IT are now looking for Network Technicians who want to work with the development and delivery of IT services, where secure and stable operations are high on the agenda. Your main tasks will consist of daily operation and maintenance of network infrastructure and driving development in data centers. As a Network Technician, you will have a varied job with broad responsibilities in a delivery that covers everything from client access networks (LAN / WiFi), distribution networks (WAN / LAN) to data center networks.

We work with several hardware manufacturers in our environments, which provides dynamic development together with our suppliers. We also work with life cycle management and are part of exciting and challenging business projects.

As a Network Technician you will be part of a team but we also see that you have the ability to work independently with external suppliers as well as colleagues around Sweden. For you as an individual, there are great opportunities for personal development and influence in the daily delivery.

Requirement specification

We would like you to have a good ability to familiarize yourself with new technology and troubleshooting of varying size and complexity. We would also like you to be a confidence builder, both within your own group and with other organizations. You thrive on change and have a natural desire for continuous improvement. You have good collaboration skills and a humble approach to people around you. You enjoy working with others and also have good structure in your own work. We would like you to have these skills/experiences:

• Operation and monitoring of network infrastructure
• Good understanding of WAN, LAN, Routing, Wifi
• Worked with products from e.g. Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint
• Network security
• Basic scripting/programming experience (e.g. Python, Perl).e.g. Python, Perl)
• Good communication skills in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing
• Driving license B
• Advantageous but not required for the position is:
• Experience in network automation (e.g. Ansible, CI/CD).e.g. Ansible, CI/CD, IaC)
• Experience with EVPN/VXLAN
• Experience working with orchestration tools e.e.g. Cisco NDFC
• Experience working with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC)
• Experience with Software defined networking (SDN)
