About the role

Now you have the opportunity to become an important part of us at Ringhals. We are looking for a committed and structured process engineer for our operational waste group.

Ringhals' active waste unit handles the plant's low and intermediate level nuclear waste. This includes transportation, reception, treatment, packaging, documentation, reporting and disposal of active waste in accordance with applicable requirements. We also perform radiological decontamination of waste, components and tools.

About the role

As a process engineer in the group, you will work within the operational activities of the Ringhals waste unit and our different areas, decontamination, perimeter, solid waste and liquid waste, with the following tasks:

• Perform decontamination
• Sort and process waste
• Manage intermediate storage of waste packages
• Develop, manage and develop instructions and guidelines
• Plan and conduct rounds in the plant (fire, safety, housekeeping and security rounds), housekeeping and safety rounds)
• Process operation of water management and waste injection
• Registration and documentation in connection with waste management
• Conduct transport within the business with forklift, traverse and possibly truck

Requirements specification

Requirements and competencies

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• High school education, preferably in technology
• Relevant work experience in industry/process
• Good computer skills
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you have:

• Post-secondary education in process, engineering, chemistry, or radiology/radiological protection or experience in radioactive waste management
• C-card, truck license or experience of lifting

The work with the management of low and intermediate level waste from the nuclear activities is continuously developed to meet the needs that arise in connection with the dismantling and decommissioning of Ringhals 1 and Ringhals 2, as well as ensuring continued safe and stable operation of Ringhals 3 and Ringhals 4.
