About the job

The Operations Engineering unit consists of two groups (Operations Engineering Production and Operations Engineering Reactor Safety) that are responsible for the Operations Engineering function at Ringhals. We always put safety first and work together with the rest of Ringhals for the good of the plants and deliver in an efficient way.

The operations engineer is the technical competence in the operational activities, in the development of the plants and in the audit implementation. The Operations Engineer is essential for Ringhals' safe and stable operation.

To be able to meet the future and manage our area of responsibility, we now need to expand our team at Operations Engineering Production with a Operations Engineer for Electric Power Systems. We are a close-knit team of about 14 employees who look forward to having a new colleague, Welcome to us!

Working as an Operations Engineer is a varied and exciting job, here are some examples of tasks that you will work with:

  • In the operational area, maintain system responsibility and be responsible for operating documentation for plant systems and for tasks linked to project activities and auditing.
  • Work as an Operations Representative in projects for plant changes. This includes contributing to design solutions, test operation and development of instructions including training.
  • Lead or be an expert in cases related to disturbances/safety issues.
  • Conduct incident investigations and act as MTO competence linked to production.
  • Analyze and report cases to authorities and evaluate promised measures.
  • Interpret SAR (Safety Accounting) and STF (Operating Conditions) in connection with operational issues.
  • Act as a contact person for neighboring network owners in operational / outage planning issues.

Requirements specification

About you

We are looking for you who have

  • Post-secondary education specializing in electric power or the equivalent but a broad general knowledge of electric power systems.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish both in speech and writing and good knowledge of English is required as the job involves a lot of documentation and reporting.

Preferred

  • Experience from PWR blocks
  • Experience in project management or coordination of tasks
  • Experience in event investigations or MTO
  • Experience in drawing up wiring diagrams and operating orders regarding electric power systems
  • Basic knowledge of reading circuit and logic diagrams etc. and logic diagrams etc
  • Good knowledge of electrical safety such as interpreting standards and electrical safety instructions

To be a successful Operations Engineer you need to have excellent communication skills, as an important part of the job involves managing contacts with authorities and international organizations, as well as adjacent network owners.The role will also involve a lot of collaboration with colleagues in the Engineering and Maintenance department, making it important that you are able to build and maintain relationships and work effectively with others. As an Operations Engineer with us, it is a prerequisite that you are self-driven and proactive, and that you take responsibility for driving your tasks forward.
