About the role

As Operations Engineers, we work to ensure that Vattenfall's electricity grid is stable and delivers the energy that our customers need. A safe grid operation is an important key to help our customers to a climate-smart life.

You will belong to the Application Design group based at the office in Trollhättan, where you are several people working to maintain and update changes to the electricity grid schedule in our operation monitoring system. With a focus on safety and accuracy, you will also work with operational monitoring, operational optimization, operational planning, commissioning and troubleshooting of the electricity network.

Your main responsibilities include:

• maintaining and updating data in our operational monitoring system
• managing communication with customers, contractors and other stakeholders on general operational issues such as disruptions, planned outages, etc.
• participate in the design of the electricity network and, if necessary, support other parts of the organization and develop working methods, processes, methods, tools
• participate in the staffing of our operations management center

In addition to working in your own group, you will also contribute your expertise in one of the other groups within operations.

Requirement specification

We know that you will develop with us but we wish that you already have:

• a university degree in electrical power or several years of work experience from similar work in electrical power and high voltage (electrical power engineering work)
• very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is an advantage with good knowledge of English in speech and writing.

As a person, you are calm and determined even in stressful situations. To be successful in the role, you also need to be meticulous and quality-conscious so that the changes documented are correct in order to ensure the safety of those who perform the work in the field. You have good collaboration skills and are stimulated by achieving results together with others, and have a strong commitment to customers and technology.
