About the role

Vattenfall Eldistribution is at the beginning of a digital transformation journey, where we are moving from reactive to fact-based and predictive maintenance. The Plant Performance Group is a key function in this development and today consists of about 16 employees. We monitor the status and risk exposure of our facilities in the electricity network and evaluate deviations from expected delivery and performance.

As a Plant Analyst, you will have overall responsibility for analyzing and evaluating our HVDC and regional grid plants. Your work will be crucial in transforming technical and economic insights into actionable decision making. You will:

  • perform analyses based on technical status, risk assessments and economic considerations on both HVDC but also other regional network assets
  • act as coordinator and representative of the owner in management issues related to HVDC
  • compile and present relevant data to drive effective decision-making processes to, among others, VF Eldistributions management team



Requirements specification


We are looking for you who have:

  • A degree in electrical power, energy engineering or similar, or equivalent work experience in regional networks (>26 kV).
  • experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as Life Cycle Cost (FMEA)
  • experience in strategic issues related to management
  • fluency in Swedish and English, both written and oral


It is an advantage if you have

  • experience in electricity distribution, maintenance, or management of regional networks and/or HVDC
  • experience in a similar role


We are looking for you who have strong analytical skills and strategic thinking, as well as a good ability to understand what data is needed to make informed decisions. You have an initiative and independent approach and are motivated by solving complex technical and financial problems. The ability to communicate and present your findings in an educational way is essential for the role.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required as you will be working with a wide network of different stakeholders as well as some coordinating function in an informal leadership role. We attach great importance to your personal qualities.

Location: Preferred locations are Solna or Umeå but other locations such as Trollhättan or Luleå, Västerås, Jokkmokk, Gotland, Gothenburg, Linköping and Uppsala are also possible.
