About the role


Do you want to work with the development of process technology systems and at the same time contribute to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply? If so, this could be the position for you!

We are now looking for several development engineers in process technology for Forsmark Power Group due to a growing need, now and in the future.

As a development engineer, you will be part of a well-knit group of about 15 people. You will have the opportunity to develop a broad process engineering knowledge for the plants while participating and contributing to the work of ensuring long-term production in Forsmark.

About the job

You will be responsible for the process engineering design of systems and components at Forsmark's nuclear power plants. As a development engineer, you are offered a great development opportunity and have a great breadth and variety of tasks. The position also involves a lot of collaboration with many other departments within the Forsmark organization.

Your daily work will mainly consist of the following:

  • Based on requirements and design assumptions, identify and realize modifications in the process engineering systems of the plants
  • Act as technical support and perform investigations for the operation and maintenance departments
  • Prepare technical documentation for operation and maintenance instructions
  • Work with technical procurement documentation and participate in supplier contacts
  • Contribute to the development of the business and colleagues by sharing experiences and lessons learned



Requirements specification


  • We see that you have a civil or university engineering education, preferably with a focus on mechanical engineering, energy systems/energy technology or process chemistry, or you have other experience and knowledge that is considered equivalent.

  • Fluent knowledge of Swedish is a requirement as all internal communication is in Swedish. Good knowledge of English is a prerequisite, including in contacts with suppliers and international industry colleagues.

  • It is meritorious if you have relevant experience from work in the nuclear power industry, but it is not a requirement. Previous experience of the process industry is also seen as positive.


As a person you have easy communication and cooperation skills, which will help you as you will have many contact areas within the group and with other departments at Forsmark as well as with external suppliers. An important quality is also that you are solution-focused and see opportunities for the assignments and challenges you will face. You are inspired by working with the development of the business towards continuous improvements and set goals, and to succeed you need to be proactive and goal-oriented.

The workplace is located in Forsmark. You also have the opportunity to use our remote workplaces in Gävle, Uppsala and Solna, or work from home, if/when work allows. Buses to and from Forsmark are adapted to office working hours. We also offer work buses on the Gävle-Forsmark and Uppsala-Forsmark routes, which gives you the opportunity to use travel time as working time.
