As Product Area manager within Customers & Solutions (C&S) Nordics, you will together with our team develop the DES business in Sweden and Finland. Special focus for you will be to be responsible for a product area which includes the entire product life cycle from strategy and planning to execution, including go-to-market and launch, as well as post-analysis, to continuous development and maintenance and possible discontinuation in the future.


About the role

In the role of Product Area manager you work together with the rest of the team and are the expert regarding your product area, thus for the currently existing products and those under development. The role aims to achieve the revenue and customer satisfaction targets within given budget and timeframes. Balancing business objectives, customer needs and technical considerations on the one hand and on the other ensuring that long term goals are met. The responsibility includes defining the product strategy and vision including go-to-market strategy within the product area which should be in line with DES other product portfolio and Business Unit Customer Nordic strategy and goals.

Collaboration with external partners as well as other parts of DES and Vattenfall is an important part of the daily work which includes people, processes and technology.

The role includes:

  • Responsibility and management of the DES portfolio products through the product lifecycle to ensure the ability to offer customers competitive, CSR and legally approved saleable and billable products at all times.
  • Responsible for product profitability which includes calculating and setting floor price for newly developed products
  • Create and maintain roadmap for development and launch of products and features within the product area
  • Continuously collect market/regulatory/competitor input as well as customer feedback from various sources, and define requirements for new/improved products/features
  • Manage prioritization in various forums within DES as well as product feedback log for the product area
  • Active support to DES Market Operations on product related topics
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners such as wholesalers and technical partners, as well as internal stakeholders within BU/BA/Waterfall incl. maintaining ownership of contracts with technical partners in the product area
  • Monitor product performance from relevant perspectives and take action when needed
  • Contribute to business development: Develop and improve the methods required for product management and ensure compliance with Vattenfall rules and regulations

Qualifications

  • Academic degree as Civil Engineer or equivalent
  • Minimum 7-9 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience working as a product manager or leading large projects with many stakeholders
  • Good understanding of the energy landscape
  • Good understanding of the opportunities in the rapidly emerging digital space
  • Good understanding of the business logic of different business segments
  • Fluent oral/written in Swedish and English. Finnish is a merit.
