About the role

Sweden has embarked on a historic transition and is facing a comprehensive electrification of society. To demonstrate our ambition to contribute to the energy transition and to continue to enable increased electrification of Sweden, we aim to distribute twice as much electricity in our grid by 2030 and to transmit electricity with 99.99% reliability of supply.

Vattenfall Eldistribution Nätanslutningar is responsible for the company's customer-initiated grid connection projects to the local grid (0.4-24 kV). The role and responsibility of the department is to coordinate and operate large and complex grid connections from call-off to completion.

The role of Production Manager

You will be responsible for driving customer-initiated local network connections that involve construction in the local network such as new connections, expansions, rebuilds, connection of production facilities and temporary facilities (>63 A) for both private and corporate customers.

In your role as Production Manager, you will be responsible for customer dialogue, management of suppliers, contractors and other internal / external stakeholders. Your tasks will be covered by call-offs, to drive and follow up the execution of contracts and administratively manage and close the case for projects with a contract sum between SEK 0.4 - 3 million or of a complex nature. Before call-offs, you will also review and understand projects that are submitted for execution

You will be part of a team of twelve people located in Västerås, Solna and Trollhättan. The team has extensive experience of contracting and works independently and supports each other when needed. In general, everyone helps to create diversity and inclusion and contribute to developing the business.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Manage, follow up and administer customer initiated local area network connections
  • Create relationships and manage dialogue on an ongoing basis with customers, installers, contractors, suppliers, authorities and internally interact with other functions within the company
  • Review and manage design documents, project finances, project documentation and close out projects
  • Hold kick-off meetings, attend construction meetings, order contractor performance, review preparations and inspect/order inspection of project execution
  • Call for delivery and manufacturing of substations
  • Problem solving in situations that require it in order to create efficiency and progress
  • Work proactively with the management of risks in projects and coordinate with the relevant parties when needed

Requirements specification

We are looking for you who have

  • Relevant academic education, preferably in energy, electric power, project management or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Driving license B
  • Communicates fluently in Swedish and has basic knowledge of English

We see it as a merit if you have knowledge in

  • Contract law, BAS-P/U, ESA, EBR and Roadworks
  • Previous experience from construction and/or project management and have product knowledge
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • SAP, NetBas (GIS) and AutoCAD
  • An interest in participating in process and business development projects

To be successful in the role, it is important that you have very good communication skills, personal drive and a business mindset. You are responsible, structured and independently drive your work forward with good quality. The role of production manager is broad with many contact areas and it is therefore important that you have good social skills and dare to act when needed in order to create satisfied customers and strengthen relationships.
