About the role

Within VB Elnät, we are today about 30 employees who together accelerate our digital transformation and test and implement new technologies that contribute to increased delivery reliability and delivery quality for our customers. We are in a growth phase to meet our customers' needs and contribute to the energy transition and we are now looking for a Project & Documentation Manager

Your tasks

As Project & Documentation Manager you will have the opportunity to lead the work within the Project and Documentation business consisting of 7 employees and a couple of consultants. The team works throughout our local and regional network with almost 27,000 electricity network customers.

The project team is responsible for the execution of planned re and new investments. The projects vary from smaller cable cabinet replacements to large new establishments. Both local and regional network projects within the voltage levels 0.4 - 130kV. We are a client organization and the projects are carried out either through cooperation agreements or procurement.

The documentation team handles all documentation for our electricity network, both physical and digital. Also largely responsible for our operational systems and system development, most of the work is done in DP Power.

Your role is to ensure that the team and employees deliver on the company's goals and that they can work in the safest, most efficient and environmentally conscious way possible. Good communication with our contractors, suppliers and other partners is key to success. We evaluate our projects and work based on many different aspects, where safety, environment, customer benefit and cost efficiency are prioritized.

You report to the CEO of Västerbergslagens Elnät and are part of the management team. We are divided into three departments where the other departments consist of Operation & Maintenance and Customer & Market.

Vattenfall is the majority owner of VB Elnät (through the parent company VB Energi) and we have a good collaboration with Vattenfall Eldistribution where we can collaborate in most areas and together find the best solutions. Simply put, a small company that can benefit from short and fast decision-making paths but at the same time utilize the advantages of a large company.

Opportunities & Challenges linked to the role

- Increased re-investment budget from historical level of about 60 MSEK to 100+ MSEK means that both the amount and size of projects have increased.

- Many companies want to establish or expand, which means more new investment projects than we have had in the past.

- There are several new employees in the team and the need for process development and routines is relatively large in order to continue to be attractive as an employer but also to keep up with our customers' requests.

Requirement specification

We are looking for you who have experience of having worked in a leading position in preferably the electricity network industry, or Project Manager or similar from the energy industry. It is meritorious if you have experience of both operational and strategic tasks.

High school education in electric power, energy or the equivalent is a requirement. Authorized electrical installer is meritorious.

Much of the business involves collaboration with others and therefore we would like to see that you are easy to collaborate and thrive in a leading role. As you interact with many different actors in the role, you need to be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. We value your ability to plan, organize and prioritize your work effectively. Changing circumstances may arise in the role, which also places demands on your flexibility and adaptability.

As a leader, you create trust and commitment, encourage feedback and share our principles of being active, positive, open and always putting safety first. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability where good leadership skills are prioritized.
