About the role

We are looking for experienced project managers with a focus on electric power and energy, who want to be part of developing Vattenfall Services into the company that creates the most value in our industry! We operate in the electricity and energy industry and carry out service, maintenance and construction in electricity plant infrastructure.

We are looking for you who want an independent and developing work and who want to be part of the major energy transition here and now in Sweden. Our assignments are a mix of small and large projects to ensure electrification in the transition to a fossil-free future so that we can jointly reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The projects can be in a wide variety of areas, such as local networks, distribution networks, emobility, electricity metering, distributed energy such as solar and wind. Furthermore, you are driven by challenges and want to be involved, influence and implement the development of the electricity and energy market.

Your role as a project manager with us will be able to include many different types of assignments. The variety makes the work challenging and versatile even in the role of project manager. The tasks consist of taking a traditional project management responsibility, which includes work and resource planning, risk analysis, coordination, contact with suppliers and subcontractors, costing, project and contract monitoring, forecast adjustments, invoicing, handling additional jobs, reporting and project completion. In between, the focus will naturally vary depending on the size, complexity and risks of the assignment. As this role can also include taking on assignments as interim manager, the breadth of the assignments increases.

The work involves both day trips and overnight trips. In other words, the project may be carried out at a distance from the regular place of employment.

In addition to the above-mentioned tasks, the responsibilities of the project manager also include being responsible for and/or participating in the following tasks:

- Contractual knowledge

- Responsibility for project implementation

- Responsibility for financial forecasting of projects

- Evaluate tender documents and prepare tenders

- Procurement of contractors, services and materials

- Ensure compliance with our market-leading environmental and health and safety procedures

- Participation in construction, customer and market meetings

Requirements specification

We are looking for someone who is easy to work with, to make new contacts and is able to work on several different projects in parallel. It is obvious for you to take responsibility for your delivery independently and in teams. As we as a company have a profitability responsibility, it is natural for you to be business-oriented while knowing the importance of a high safety culture and the meaning of systematic risk work.

We know that you will develop with us. But we would like to see that you already meet the following:

• Relevant work experience to be able to independently take responsibility for deliveries
• Good experience and feel confident in the role of project manager, in electrical installation contracting or similar, preferably with knowledge of Ebr, ESA and work environment issues in roles such as BAS P/U.
• Have a strong focus on safety and work environment issues
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing
• Good computer skills, mainly in MS office.
• B driving license is a requirement as there is business travel.
• It is meritorious if you have experience of being a manager as you will be able to have the opportunity to step in as interim manager at times.
