Vattenfall Vattenkraft is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and 400 dams in the Nordic region. We are about 500 employees in Sweden and Finland with headquarters in Luleå. Hydropower's renewable electricity production is a prerequisite for creating a climate-smart and fossil-free society where we play an important role as an enabler for the sustainable energy system of the future. About the role

Vattenfall Vattenkraft is now recruiting a Project Manager who will work on construction and dam projects. The work is varied, fun, responsible - you will work in an environment characterized by competence, development and positive people who are happy to share knowledge.

We are constantly working to develop our business to meet the demands of the outside world and would like you to contribute to our continued development with your experience. You will be part of the Project Construction & Dam department, we are currently 11 project managers who are geographically spread from Trollhättan to Jokkmokk. This position is located in Sundsvall.

Project manager for construction and dam projects

You will work with projects along the Indalsälven and Ångermanälven rivers. As a project manager, you create conditions and ensure that set project goals can be achieved. You are involved all the way from feasibility studies and planning to implementation and handover of the finished project. You will, among other things:

  • Plan and run investment projects of varying complexity and size.
  • Lead and engage project resources (both internal and external) and collaborate with various functions within Vattenfall Vattenkraft.
  • Work with purchasing issues (we are not subject to LOU and in the procurement/purchasing process you are supported by our purchasing department).
  • Responsible for forecasting, financial follow-up, project work environment, environment, quality and time management.
  • Ensure that dam safety aspects are followed.
  • Responsible for reporting and systematic deviation management.

Requirements

Your qualifications as a project manager

  • Post-secondary education (college, university, KY, YH) with a focus on construction and civil engineering, or equivalent skills acquired through work experience.
  • Deficient experience in project management, investment projects and construction law.
  • Experience in the construction sector and the construction industry.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written), knowledge of English is desirable.
  • Driving license (B) and the ability to travel in the service.

It is meritorious if you have work experience of hydraulic engineering and if you have worked with dam construction issues and / or dam structures. Knowledge of mechanical construction and electricity is a plus.
