We are looking for a new colleague at Vattenfall Nuclear Fuel AB (VNF) where the main task is to lead and coordinate our nuclear fuel deliveries to Ringhals nuclear power plant. Come and work with us!

VNF's main task is to procure, quality assure, dimension and deliver nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants. We have responsibilities that span the entire life cycle until the fuel is removed from the core.

The role is located in the Nuclear Fuel Supply Unit, which consists of 11 employees with assignments in areas such as purchasing, supplier assessments, delivery project management and financial issues, but since this role is central to the entire company's operations, you will work closely with colleagues at all five of the company's units.

Your tasks

Our fuel delivery projects involve, based on contracts with fuel manufacturers and nuclear fuel agreements with the nuclear power plants, having a continuous planning and ordering dialogue with both the receiving nuclear power plant and the fuel supplier, as well as leading our internal work at VNF to jointly ensure that nuclear fuel and associated analyzes and services are delivered with the right quality and on time.

The role is central to VFN's entire delivery and involves great responsibility but also great opportunities to be involved in developing our business.

We would like you to have

  • a university/civil engineering degree in physics, energy engineering, mechanical engineering or have equivalent work experience that we consider equivalent
  • good knowledge and practical experience in the management, planning, implementation and follow-up of programs, projects or assignments with many project members, several delivery projects in parallel
  • good knowledge of Word and Excel
  • very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and good knowledge of English in speech and writing

We see it as meritorious if you have

  • worked with core and fuel at a nuclear power plant
  • experience with planning tools, Primavera or SAP


As a person, we are looking for you who have a natural ability to see and manage the big picture, while maintaining focus on overall goals without getting stuck in details. You have solid planning and coordination skills, and you create an effective structure and prioritize well. Your ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, both internally and externally, is an obvious strength, and you express yourself clearly both orally and in writing. We also see that you have a great technical interest that makes you enjoy staying up to date and solution-oriented.

Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 450 people within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that supplies nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and implements projects and assignments and provides internal technical specialist services for all of Vattenfall's operations, Group staffs and stakeholders. This includes activities such as project management and project support, analysis management and investigation, product development, nuclear safety and dam safety assignments. The focus of the Vattenfall Power Solutions business unit is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected key technical disciplines. We work actively with continuous improvement initiatives and development of our models, where our work and competence create great value for Vattenfall and its investments.
