We are now looking for a Purchasing Manager for BU Service Nordic who will report to the Purchasing Director and be part of the BA Generation management team.

About the role

As a responsible manager and leader, you will, together with the team, be responsible for all purchasing work through close collaboration with managers/decision makers, project managers, technicians, lawyers and other commercial functions within Vattenfall. The purchasing team today consists of 15 purchasers from north to south in Sweden and an important part is to create added value that contributes to meeting the business goals.

You will be responsible for various types of commercial agreements with suppliers, from developing procurement strategies and supplier development plans to signing and managing agreements. In the role, we offer you an exciting work where you are expected to take the next step in the development of the purchasing function.

The following main responsibilities are included in addition to ensuring the well-being, collaborative climate and engagement of employees:

  • Work with the business to develop and implement purchasing strategies to achieve the most economically beneficial results


  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships


  • Establish successful internal and external partnerships


  • Drive proactive development of ways of working, innovation and sustainability


  • Work actively with other purchasing units to achieve the best result for Vattenfall



Requirements specification

To succeed in the role, we look for you to have:

  • Relevant academic education in, for example, technology, economics, law


  • Good experience in purchasing and management positions


  • Good ability to develop and maintain business relationships


  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and in English, additional language skills are meritorious


  • Experience from the energy industry is an advantage, but not necessary
