We need more energy heroes and now we are looking for two committed and driven Purchasing Managers (Project and Service & Maintenance) for Vattenfall Service Nordic AB (VSN) who want to join the journey towards a fossil-free life! The purchasing department at VSN is organized in the areas of Service & Maintenance and Projects and we are looking for purchasing managers for both units.

About the role

As purchasing manager for unit Projects, you will, together with your team, drive and develop the purchasing work at VSN. You will be responsible for project purchasing, from strategic planning to operational efficiency, for a team of 8-10 employees who are located / geographically spread from north to south in Sweden. An important part of the assignment is to develop a direction on how the purchasing team can strengthen VSN's market position and profitability that contributes to meeting the business goals.

Your responsibility as Purchasing Manager for Projects mainly involves planning and coaching the purchasing team in the procurement of new projects in close collaboration with the tender team and project manager/manager. You will work closely with the Purchasing Manager for Service & Maintenance, together you will be responsible for organizing, driving and developing the purchasing work to leverage synergies and optimize results.

The work involves close collaboration with managers, decision-makers, project managers, technicians, lawyers and other commercial functions within Vattenfall. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for an efficient procurement process (S2C) and that we take advantage of the best business opportunities in our purchases.

The following main responsibilities are included in addition to ensuring the well-being, collaborative climate and engagement of employees:

  • Work with the business to develop and implement purchasing strategies to achieve the most economically beneficial results
  • Develop and maintain successful external partnerships
  • Improve procurement processes and procedures
  • Track purchasing costs and be responsible for driving cost-effective purchasing
  • Lead and develop the purchasing team, ensuring the team is properly resourced to meet the needs of the business.
  • Drive change and create commitment and increased understanding of the strategic importance of purchasing in the organization
  • Drive a proactive development of working methods, innovation and sustainability
  • Work actively with other purchasing units to achieve the best result for Vattenfall


Requirements

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

  • Relevant academic training in areas such as engineering, finance, law
  • Good experience in purchasing and management positions
  • Experience in leading and developing teams, organizations
  • Good negotiation skills and business drive
  • Many years of experience in contract procurement/legal and tender processes
  • Good ability to develop and maintain business relationships
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing
