We need more energy heroes and now we are looking for two committed and driven Purchasing Managers (Project and Service & Maintenance) for Vattenfall Service Nordic AB (VSN) who want to join the journey towards a fossil-free life! The purchasing department at VSN is organized in the areas of Service & Maintenance and Projects and we are looking for purchasing managers for both units.
About the role
As purchasing manager for the Service & Maintenance unit, you will have overall responsibility for the purchasing work and lead a team of 8-10 employees from north to south in Sweden. Together with your team, you will develop and manage the purchasing work, in accordance with VSN's strategic objectives, code of conduct, policies and processes. With your experience in purchasing and leadership, you will be able to ensure that the purchasing work at VSN is optimized and contributes to the company's success and profitability.
Your responsibilities as Purchasing Manager mainly involve being responsible for planning and coaching the purchasing team in the procurement of framework agreements, accelerating the implementation of category management in more categories and ensuring that the purchasing function is effective and strategically focused. The role also means that you will be a driving party in our need to develop the possibilities around digitization and the implementation of SAP S/4 Hana. We are therefore looking for you who thrive on leading others and who want to contribute with your expertise in developing new, smarter solutions for the group's purchasing.
You will work closely with the Purchasing Manager for Projects at VSN. Together you are responsible for organizing, driving and developing the work to leverage synergies and optimize results. The role also involves close collaboration with managers/decision makers, project managers, technicians, lawyers and other commercial functions within Vattenfall. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for an efficient E2E purchasing process and that the best business opportunities are taken advantage of in our purchases.

- Work with the business to develop and implement purchasing strategies to achieve the most economically beneficial results
- Develop and maintain successful external partnerships
- Improve the purchasing process and procedures
- Track purchasing costs and be responsible for driving cost-effective purchasing
- Lead and develop a purchasing team, review the needs of the team and the resources required to meet the needs of the business
- Drive change and create engagement and increased understanding of the strategic importance of purchasing in the organization
- Drive a proactive development of working methods, innovation and sustainability
- Active work with other purchasing units to achieve the best result for Vattenfall
Requirements
To succeed in the role, we look for you to have:
- Relevant academic qualifications
- Experience in purchasing and management positions
- Experience in leading and developing teams, organizations
- Many years of experience in category management and purchasing processes
- Good ability to develop and maintain business relationships
- Experience working with purchasing and procurement systems
- Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing
