Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 450 people within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that supplies nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and implements projects and assignments and provides internal technical specialist services for all of Vattenfall's operations, Group staffs and stakeholders.
This involves activities such as project management and project support, analysis management and investigation, product development, nuclear safety and dam safety assignments. The focus of the Vattenfall Power Solutions business unit is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected key technical disciplines. We work actively with continuous improvement initiatives and development of our models, where our work and competence create great value for Vattenfall and its investments.

Vattenfall is working towards fossil freedom and is a key player in the realization of new nuclear power, operating time extensions of existing nuclear power plants as well as in hydropower and the development of new energy solutions. Vattenfall Power Solutions provides internal technical specialist services where we both run our own projects and strengthen the competence of our collaboration partners, and our work and competence create great value for Vattenfall and its investments.
In the role of quality engineer in mechanics, you will work with quality assurance and quality control in our assignments to achieve fossil freedom. You will be involved in all phases of the assignments (procurement, design, manufacturing, installation and final documentation) in connection with mechanical installations, rebuilds and repairs. As a quality engineer, you will work with a number of regulations and standards regarding, for example, pressure vessels, force-bearing structures, welding and pipelines.
Our ongoing assignments are located in different locations in Sweden but also in Europe, which means that travel in the service occurs.

Location is Gävle, Uppsala, Västerås, Solna, Nyköping, Gothenburg. Travel is included as a natural part of the service, but we work actively with technical aids to minimize these.
