About the role

The Plant Design unit consists of three groups:

  • Licensing and Plant Development works with licensing issues and is responsible for Forsmark's Radiation Safety Report (SAR).
  • Analysis working with safety analyses, process analyses and electrical dynamic analyses.
  • Safety Engineering working with parts of the Radiation Safety Report, PSA analyses and coordinating for primary safety review.

This position refers to the group Licensing and Plant Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support on reactor safety issues
  • Interpretation of regulations and facility requirements
  • Responsibility for and development of the Radiation Safety Assessment Report (SAR), which is the licensing documentation required to conduct nuclear activities
  • Conduct certain types of safety analyses

An important part of the job is to ensure that requirements, facility and documentation are consistent. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic development of the plants as part of Forsmark's "Design Authority" and work broadly with safety issues. The unit's work also includes contacts with authorities and other external bodies as well as international organizations.

Requirement specification

To succeed in the role, it is important that you are quality conscious and have a thorough and structured way of working. As you will have many internal and external contacts, it is important that you have good collaboration skills while being independent and able to lead and control your work.

We would like you to have

  • Civil or university engineering education in, for example, electrical engineering, energy systems, engineering physics, mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience; such as work in nuclear power with, for example, operation or construction
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Meritatory if you have good plant knowledge and also experience in nuclear power technology, reactor safety, requirements management, safety analysis or safety accounting.
