Vattenfall Vattenkraft is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and about 300 dams in the Nordic region. We are about 500 employees in Sweden and Finland with headquarters in Luleå. Vattenfall Vattenkraft is now looking for a new colleague for our security department! With us, you will play a central role in protecting and strengthening security in hydropower operations - an activity that is crucial to Sweden's energy supply.

You will be part of a nice and helpful team that works to ensure that our security routines are of the highest standard. We handle, among other things, security protection agreements (SUA), security audits, authorization administration and data protection issues (GDPR). We are based in several locations in Sweden, this position is located in Luleå, Umeå or Solna.

In your work as a security officer, you contribute both to setting the framework for our compliance with the Security Protection Act and the Data Protection Regulation, as well as to the practical implementation in the business.

For example, you will work with:

  • Conducting security protection assessments
  • Suitability assessment of suppliers and subcontractors
  • Signing and managing security protection contracts and security protection agreements
  • Follow-up checks of security protection agreements
  • Development and management of instructions and procedures linked to applicable legal requirements
  • Interpretation and introduction of new requirements in the processes and working methods of the hydropower company
  • Security protection and data protection issues (GDPR).

Requirements

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in security issues and a good ability to combine regulations with reality. You have work experience in areas such as security protection, security protection agreements and the application of security protection legislation. It is an advantage if you have also worked on data protection issues and in the energy sector. You have post-secondary education in security, or you have acquired equivalent skills through relevant work experience.

As a person, you are orderly, communicative and have a proactive approach. It is natural for you to take responsibility for planning and creating progress in your assignments. You are comfortable switching and prioritizing between different types of tasks. Although some of the tasks are carried out individually, you believe that complex issues and problems are often better solved by working together.

As a security officer, it is important that you act in accordance with decisions taken and are courteous with a high level of integrity. The work involves many contacts and you need to have good knowledge of both Swedish and English (speech and writing). Travel occurs, you have a B-driving license.
