Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB, SKB, is working on one of Sweden's largest environmental protection projects. SKB's mission is to take care of all radioactive waste from the Swedish nuclear power plants. This must be done in a safe manner for both people and the environment.

Today, around 600 people are employed at SKB. We have extensive collaboration with experts and contractors outside the company.

SKB's head office is located in Arenastaden in Solna. We also have offices in Oskarshamn and Forsmark/Östhammar, where we have facilities and conduct various activities prior to the construction of a final repository for spent nuclear fuel.

SKB is now looking for a safety-conscious and responsible safety protection coordinator.

Here you will work

The Operations and Maintenance Department is responsible for the operation of SKB's nuclear facilities. In Oskarshamn there is the interim storage facility for spent nuclear fuel, Clab, and in Forsmark, in Östhammar municipality, there is the final repository for short-lived radioactive waste, SFR.

In the Protection and Transport unit, we are responsible for security protection activities at Clab and SFR and, where applicable, on our transport system.

Now we are looking for an employee for the protection and security group in the area of security protection at the SFR facility. As an employee with us, you will be a driving force in the security protection area at the facility, both in the line and pre-projects. You will work in a responsible group that helps and supports each other.

What you will do

In the service, you will, among other things, work with the following:

  • Conduct control and follow-up of operational surveillance and physical protection.
  • Identify the need for and issue documentation in physical protection.
  • Be the contact person for hired security personnel.
  • Advise/interpret documents in the field of security protection.
  • Conduct factual reviews in the field of physical protection.
  • Manage events/deviations in the field of physical protection.
  • Conduct training/information regarding physical protection.


Requirements

We are looking for you who have

  • education in security protection organized by Swedish industry or equivalent.
  • work experience in security protection issues. Experience from operations with security requirements, preferably in a security-classified service, is an advantage.

Knowledge of the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority's regulations for physical protection and that you know the background to these is an advantage.

As a person, you are self-driven, responsible, structured, quality-conscious and have a strong integrity. You have a positive attitude and you deliver according to set goals and policies. The role requires responsiveness and a good ability to collaborate and communicate in a clear way.

Other important qualities are patience and perseverance even in changing conditions and situations while taking your own initiative to be able to perform your duties.

The position requires a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and in English. Driving license B is a requirement.
