About the role

Would you like to join us on the journey towards a fossil-free future? We are now looking for you to work to protect Swedish infrastructure and energy supply as a Senior Security Office with a focus on security protection and governance.

Corporate Security & Resilience (CS&R) within Vattenfall leads and coordinates the security and resilience work within the Vattenfall Group. Through high competence, we support the company with strategic decisions, governance and continuously drive and develop the company's work. CS&R is a holistic, modern, flexible and agile security function with extensive knowledge of the security policy situation in the outside world and Vattenfall's part in Sweden's and Europe's energy supply.

The Security Regulation & Supervision unit drives and supports security protection work within the Group. The unit works at a strategic level to set the strategic level of security protection work within the Group, where we drive change and develop new processes and working methods, tools and training, but also participate in consultation work. We develop instructions at both Group level and for the parent company. We work on monitoring security protection within the Group and are responsible for the parent company's security protection work and internal control of NIS/CER. Here is also the joint control function for the Group's security protection agreements.

Together with our legal department, the unit also supports the Group in regulatory supervision within NIS, security protection and in the future also for CER.

Now we offer an exciting and developing job as Senior Security Officer with security protection focus and governance. You will report to the Director Security Regulation & Supervision.

In the role of Senior Security Officer with a focus on security protection, you are expected to:

  • Responsible for Group Governance in the area of security protection (personnel security, physical security and information security) within our Group Security Management System
  • Develop, coordinate and follow up the work on security protection and supervision issues, by running or participating in various projects, investigations or working groups
  • Act as an advisor to the security protection organizations in our subsidiaries
  • Have an active role in our Group-wide security protection forum
  • Active participation in our monitoring & influencing process in which we analyze upcoming legislative changes and write consultation responses linked to the security area, especially towards security protection.
  • Conduct internal audits and internal controls aimed at security protection, NIS and CER, within the Group
  • Support the Vattenfall Group in regulatory oversight in the NIS/CER and security protection area
  • Be up to date and have good knowledge of industry best practice, legal requirements and how the geopolitical landscape affects the company, customers and the energy industry.


Requirements

We are looking for you who have:

  • University and/or college education, preferably in law or security protection or equivalent work experience
  • Several years of documented experience working with security protection at a strategic level and practical application regarding laws and regulations in the areas of personnel security, information security and physical security, preferably in the role of security protection manager or deputy security protection manager
  • Up-to-date and good knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern the work with security protection, preferably also NIS & CER legislation
  • Experience from the energy industry or other critical infrastructure is an advantage.
