About the role

As part of the generational change, Svafo is now looking for a Senior Specialist in Operations for the management of the company's assets located at the Studsvik area about 25 km northeast of Nyköping.

We offer you an exciting and responsible job as a Senior Specialist in Operations at Svafo. You will be part of a team of approximately 13 people working with safety documentation, development, planning, operation and maintenance of Svafo's facilities at the Studsvik site. The group consists of a wide range of colleagues such as engineers, supervisors and technicians.

Svafo's task is to take care of nuclear waste and facilities from early Swedish nuclear research in a safe and environmentally responsible way.

Duties

You will be responsible for investigations, strategic issues, quality assurance and development of Svafo's facilities and management systems.

As a senior specialist in operations, your main tasks will be:

  • Responsible for keeping safety documentation such as SAT/STF/WAC/Waste plans up to date
  • Driving investigations and strategic issues regarding safety documentation and quality assurance
  • Coordinating operational monitoring and operations contact with authorities
  • Supporting the organization with knowledge and advice

You will report to the Head of Operations, Maintenance and Plant Office, Johan Flygare.


Requirements

We are looking for you with a university degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

We believe that you are a specialist in nuclear activities and have good knowledge of the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority's (SSM) regulations, and the documentation that is expected. It is an advantage if you have experience of contacts with authorities or work at an authority.

We believe that you have an administrative vein that is used to working with and keeping track of the documentation required in the business. In this role, you will have great responsibility, and we would like to see that you have a drive to take your work forward. There are great opportunities to develop and improve working methods, so we hope that you are curious and want to contribute to change. You will also work closely with other colleagues in the rest of the business so we also see that you have good collaboration skills.

Fluent knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing is a requirement.
