About the role


Are you a driven and communicative leader and want to contribute to Ringhals' safe and stable operation?

Now you have the opportunity to do so with us at Ringhals and at the Production department within the Operations unit. By using our resources in a smarter way, we want to create a safe and reliable production that is ready to support Sweden's electricity grid when needed. To achieve this, we need committed and courageous managers who want to make a difference together with a strong team.

One of our shift managers has moved on to another assignment at Ringhals, we are therefore looking for a new shift manager for the NDP4 group at the operations unit.



About the job


The shift manager is responsible for ensuring that the operations on the shift team are carried out so that the requirements and goals of the authorities and Vattenfall regarding safety, environment, production and economy are met in the short and long term. You are part of the unit's management team where you actively participate in ensuring that goals, plans and decisions are implemented and followed up and contribute to a good working climate for well-being and performance.

As Shift Manager, you are responsible for a group of about 25 people. To help you, you have the deputy shift manager who is the operational leader with DL4 responsibility. The shift manager has the competence as VHI (replaces STA in case of absence), which means that review of DL4 decisions occurs. The position has a strategic perspective on the shift team and allocates resources and competencies where they are best needed. You are not operational in the day-to-day running



Requirements specification


About you

We are looking for you with previous management experience or with experience of leading and coaching others. Previous managerial experience is not a requirement but meritorious, however, the ability to motivate and lead the team is crucial. We also value that you dare to be clear, visible and courageous in your leadership. You thrive in a leading role and are driven by developing both people and working methods and have the ability to inspire employees to grow and feel committed. Furthermore, you are a good role model and consider safety and work environment to be of utmost importance by demonstrating this in words and actions through the decisions you make.

To be relevant for the position, we see that you:

  • Have solid operating experience from BWR/PWR plant
  • Have a University degree or other equivalent experience in the nuclear industry
  • B-driving license
  • Experience in management, management background is meritorious
  • Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English

The shift manager has a central role in Ringhals organization, which means that you will collaborate both internally and externally and are expected to be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing.
