About the role


Vattenfall Services Stations Project continues to invest forward and is now looking for new colleagues with skills and experience in control facilities. Our assignments are largely turnkey contracts and we are looking for you who have experience of working in project organizations. You will be an important part of creating the best conditions for our project managers and project organizations, which means high safety thinking, good progress, commitment and quality. In our Business Area, we carry out projects and deliver complete solutions for electrical and control equipment for substations and power stations. Our customers are mainly electricity grid companies and hydropower producers. Our delivery includes project management, construction, groundwork, design, programming, configuration, assembly and commissioning. Working safely at all stages is a matter of course within Vattenfall Services.

Your role

In the role of Specialist in the Project Reference Group, you contribute with your cutting-edge expertise in control systems. Your expertise will be a complement in our tender work where you review and analyze incoming offers, but also participate in the work of developing tender documents. You will act as a specialist resource and support our project managers in technical choices. The focus will be on larger station projects at voltage levels 130kV to 400kV. You will be supported by Vattenfall Services' competent employees and established subcontractors.

The work is independent, while requiring a strong focus on collaboration and communication both internally and externally. The role reports to the Business Area Manager and Project Manager. Travel is part of the assignment.

Main tasks:

  • Participate in tender preparation together with designated Project Manager and Tender/Business Support
  • Write tender documents together with Purchasing and review received tenders
  • Support in procurement of contractors, services and materials in consultation with Purchasing, Project Manager and Tender/Business Support
  • Be a technical resource in your area of expertise and support colleagues within the project organization and the business
  • Be a support to the project manager at construction meetings and in negotiations with the customer or subcontractor
  • Ensure that the organization and working methods are appropriate through proactive planning and participation
  • Based on your background and experience from running projects, contribute to the continued development of colleagues and the organization
  • Actively take responsibility for keeping up to date in your specialist area
  • Develop standardized ways of working that are adapted to the business



Requirements specification


We are looking for you who have the ability to drive your work forward in an independent and efficient way, while being able to communicate and inform others on an ongoing basis. You are business-minded and goal- and result-oriented. Your approach is characterized by structure, good cooperation, good judgment and that you act in accordance with goals and guidelines with a strong focus on safety.

To be successful in roles, we see that you need:

  • Documented experience of running assignments linked to control facilities
  • Experience in developing and reviewing tenders
  • Good competence in the industry's guidelines and regulations
  • Command Swedish and English in speech and writing
  • B driving license

We see it as meritorious if you also have:

  • Experience as a sub-project manager

Location

We are open to stationing at any of our establishments in Sweden, stretching from north to south. The role has a national responsibility where travel is a natural part of the assignment. Please state your intended location in the application.
