About the role

Do you work as an electrician and want to try something new? Does it sound interesting with a free job where you get to solve problems in the field? We are now looking for a new employee for the role of street lighting technician!

Your role

We offer a varied and free work with the opportunity to influence both the content and planning of your working days. You will collaborate with your colleagues and solve various technical problems to ensure a lit and safe environment in the community.

As a street lighting technician, you are part of the Maintenance group with 25 employees who are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the entire Gotland electricity network. The group also has the task of carrying out maintenance on Gotland's street lighting on behalf of external customers. As a technician, you will work with troubleshooting on street lighting, maintenance on street lighting and control of street lighting.

In the group, we strive to work as a team and therefore you will also have to help in the other maintenance work at Gotlands Elnät. Since we are a group with broad skills and broad areas of responsibility, there are good opportunities for skills development.

Your tasks:

• Maintenance work/series replacement of lamps and luminaires
• Regulation of light quantity
• Fault repair of road and street lighting and pedestrian and bicycle paths
• Cable fault finding, investigation and correction of faults
• Fault repair/series replacement of poles
• Reporting and documentation

Requirements specification

We are looking for you who have:

• Education in electricity or experience in electricity (either as an electrician, installer, lighting technician or similar)
• Electrical engineering education at secondary or post-secondary level
• B driving license is a requirement, C driving license is meritorious
• It is meritorious if you have experience of working with electrical power or lighting
