About the role

In this role, you will develop service life curves for a specific component type in hydropower plants, which means that you analyze how the probability of failure changes over time. You will identify and model relationships between component life and factors such as design, operating patterns and load.

The work involves using statistics and component data to model failure probabilities, including through AI and machine learning. You will also collect and manage data from different systems to ensure relevant and reliable inputs.

This position will give you the opportunity to apply machine learning and mathematical modeling to real-world engineering challenges. You will also gain a deeper understanding of how hydropower plants work and the challenges that arise as plants age.

Requirements specification

  • You have ongoing university studies in a technical field, such as computer engineering or equivalent.
  • You have knowledge of mathematical modeling and programming.
  • You have experience with Microsoft software.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
