Vattenfall Vattenkraft is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and about 300 dams in the Nordic region. We are about 500 employees in Sweden and Finland with headquarters in Luleå. About the role

Do you want to work as a production technician in Nämforsen / Forsmo this summer?

You will belong to our production team Forsmo, we are responsible for hydropower plants in the Ångerman River where we ensure a stable production of fossil-free hydropower electricity for Sweden.

The work as a substitute production technician is practical and operational, you are on site and work out in our plants. For example, you will work with production technical maintenance, some troubleshooting and recurring periodic work. Together we ensure that the hydropower plants are available and safe.


Requirement specification

For summer jobs as a production technician, the following is required:

  • Previous upper secondary education (e.g. electricity and energy program, hydropower technology). Ongoing post-secondary studies are meritorious.
  • That you are at least 18 years old and that you have a B driving license.
  • That you are fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing.

For a safe working environment, it is very important that we have good cooperation in the team. We value that everyone shows consideration, is responsive and lets everyone be heard. It is important that you also want to contribute to our cooperation and our team spirit.

Working in hydropower plants places high demands on us to work safely, risk-consciously and to take care of each other. As a summer worker, it is important that you turn to your colleagues if you feel unsure or want to discuss a concern, that you are aware of how to think and act to work safely, that you focus on doing the right things in the right order and that you keep a realistic perspective on situations that arise. Sometimes stressful situations may arise, in which case it is important that you remember what you have learned and do not take any risks.
