Vattenfall AB Värme Uppsala produces and delivers a total of about 1500 GWh of district heating in Uppsala, Knivsta and Storvreta. In Uppsala, district cooling is also produced and delivered, steam and the plant produces electricity. The business consists of waste incineration as a base and mainly biofuel-fired plants as a complement in the cold part of the year.
About the role
You will work at Vattenfall's Heating Plant. We are responsible for managing the operation of the district heating plant in Uppsala.
We are now looking for summer workers for the positions of operating technician and production coordinator.
In the role of operating technician, you will help us with remedial and preventive maintenance. For example, we will need help with rounding the plants. The work involves shift work and you are part of a rolling 6-week schedule with both night, day and weekend jobs. It is therefore important that you have the opportunity to work both day, night and weekend.
In the role of production coordinator, you assist us with the administration required when maintenance / external contractors go out to the plants and work. Your role may also involve meeting contractors at the information desk for further guidance. Work is scheduled for daytime.

Requirements specification
We are looking for you who have turned 18 and who are currently attending high school or studying at a vocational college or university, preferably as an operating technician or with a focus on energy. It is an advantage if you have previously worked or summered at a heating plant or in another process industry. We would like to see that you have a few years left on your studies and we hope that you want to come back to work more summers or other times of the year.
We are looking for a person who has a high safety mindset. We also want you to be interested in technology or energy and have an interest in learning new things. As it involves remedial maintenance, we want you to be solution-oriented and proactive.
