Vattenfall Vattenkraft is looking for a technology specialist in hydropower turbines for, for example, Jokkmokk, Luleå, Umeå, Östersund, Gävle, Västerås or Solna!

Here you will be part of the department Power Station Technology where our main focus is sustainable development and management of Vattenfall's hydropower stations. Right now we are just over 20 employees with specialist knowledge in areas such as electricity production, hydropower and power station technology.

The work as a technology specialist is varied and there are good opportunities to be involved and influence how we work with our plants at a time when hydropower is a very important part of Sweden's total electricity mix.

Here are examples of tasks and responsibilities:

• Set up functional and technical requirements for turbines in hydropower stations based on the needs of the power system and facilities
• Develop the overall status of turbines with auxiliary equipment and design action proposals and work with risk analyses for existing action proposals
• Produce and develop existing technical guidelines and requirement specifications
• Technical requirements in, for example, procurement
• Work with continuous improvements and business intelligence
• Collaboration with other technical areas to create the best overall solution.

You will participate in assignments that include feasibility studies, project implementation and commissioning. You may also be able to offer your specialist knowledge to our maintenance and production operations, for example in investigations.

For this position it is a requirement that you have worked with:

• Turbine engineering related to hydropower and electricity generation
• Complex requirement specifications and power station engineering with a focus on turbines and hydropower
• Design, calculation and requirement specification for Kaplan and Francis blades and other turbine equipment (including auxiliary equipment) such as hydraulic systems, bearings, seal boxes and steel structures in waterways
• Data collection, analysis and documentation.

You are a civil or university engineer in mechanical engineering or equivalent, or you have equivalent knowledge acquired in another way. We would like to see that you have experience of advisory roles, that you have worked with feasibility studies/investigations and that you are used to working project-oriented.

Your way of working is characterized by a great interest and commitment to your subject area, initiative, cooperation, order and orderliness. You express yourself clearly in speech and writing (Swedish and English) and have a good IT habit. A B driving license is a requirement as travel by car is part of the work.

The position has a flexible location at one of our offices, for example in Jokkmokk, Luleå, Umeå, Östersund, Gävle, Västerås or Solna.
