Company Description

We at Vattenfall are determined to make fossil-free living possible within a generation. To succeed, as one of Europe's largest energy companies, we must first become completely fossil-free ourselves. But that is not enough. To contribute to a fossil-free society, we need to do more than just focus on sustainable energy production.

Because we are convinced that if we are to make it possible to live fossil-free within a generation, we need to look at the challenge from a broader perspective than just producing energy in a sustainable way.

Follow us on the road to a fossil-free life.

About the thesis

  • The unit is responsible for maintaining the physical protection of the plant, and creating security both inside and outside Ringhals. The unit currently consists of 2 groups; one operational and one supportive.
  • Scope/Mission: Ringhals is in a period where a lot of new technology is introduced in the surveillance area. This entails a change in the work environment in the plant's Surveillance Center. We want to investigate how this change affects the operators' ability to monitor the plant.
  • The purpose of the work is to determine how much incoming alarms an individual operator can handle, and what supporting measures can be taken. This is to include this in a future requirement of new technology.
  • This assignment is for 1 or 2 students.
