We at Viscaria are looking for you who are ready to take on new challenges as head of our mine planning in Kiruna. If you have an interest in strategic planning and an analytical approach to mine development, this could be the right opportunity for you.

Your main responsibilities will include leading, developing and implementing strategies and processes for mine planning. You will work closely with other departments to ensure effective plans that support business objectives. We believe in keeping both feet on the ground, so it is important that you can maintain a balance between the level of detail and the big picture. Initially you will be responsible for building your team of engineers and technicians, currently two engineers are in place. Together, you will be responsible for the long and short term mining planning within the Viscaria mining area. The role also includes budget and performance responsibilities, and you will be part of the mine manager's management team.

You have a relevant academic degree and a few years of experience in mine planning, preferably from different mining environments. Your analytical skills, combined with a strategic mind, will be key success factors in the role. We would like you to have some leadership experience, but it is your personal qualities that will be crucial for success in the role. You should have good communication skills, be structured and proactive, and provide a clear direction for your colleagues. English, spoken and written, and a B-driving license are requirements, knowledge of Swedish is meritorious.
