As a Senior Engineer at Hitachi Energy Cooling Systems, you will be responsible for keeping our cooling system solutions in the SVC segment together in terms of electrical and automation. You will be part of our electrical and automation group of about 20 people where the role, senior engineer, is a technical leader for a group of about 4-8 people. The role has no personnel responsibility.

SVC segments' cooling systems are customized solutions that are run on a project basis where we start from a basic concept. Your main function is to lead the long-term technical work on the projects within your segment and help to standardize the solution and work process. You will discuss specifications and requirements with customers, and then drive through design solutions accordingly. You will be the responsible project engineer in your own delivery projects, but also have a more overall responsibility to lead electrical and automation design work, as well as to act as a sounding board for the engineers working in your group.

You will specifically work with electrical design of automatic cabinets, low-voltage switchgear for motor control, junction boxes, automation (PLC), cooling process design and specifications for various subcontractors and, as mentioned above, also some marketing work.

How you will affect

• Electrical design according to customer specification, selection of components and solutions.
• Electrical design of industrial automation cabinets, low voltage switchgear (MCC) and switch boxes. Normal voltages; power 3-phase 208-600 VAC and control voltages between 24-220VDC, 4-200kW motors.
• Create and maintain quality documentation, protocols, functional descriptions, manuals, guides, work instructions, etc.
• Creation of specifications to subcontractors, production of BOM, BOM management in business systems (SAP).
• Drive and execute long-term electrical and automation design decisions and coordinate daily tasks within your segment.
• Customer contact and support both externally and internally regarding electrical design. You will be the first contact for internal and external customers on technical issues within your segment.
• Participate in various component testing, factory tests, FAT and subcontractor evaluations.
• Commissioning at customer (SAT) and supplier visits and other travel may occur.

Your background

• About 10 years of experience in electrical design and automation in relevant industry such as machine manufacturing, process industry, water and wastewater treatment plants. Of which some years in project activities with external delivery. You have a post-secondary education or a technical education and many years of experience in the relevant profession and industry.
• Have previously worked as a team leader, senior project engineer, project manager or similar.
• Experience in designing automation cabinets and motor control groups and can design independently in Elprocad or other similar tool.
• Experience in redundant solutions with focus on "High Availability", such as S2, R1 and R2
• Experience in programming PLC/DCS/RTU/IPC/HMI or other technical equipment.
• Good knowledge of 2006/42/EC, IEC61439, IEC61000-6-2 / IEC 6100-6-4, CE Certification.
• You have very good knowledge of Swedish and excellent knowledge of technical English and excellent knowledge of both speech and writing.
• Additional: Knowledge of UL / CSA Certification, voltage stabilizers, VFD technology, UPS systems.
