Components is looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) specialist to join our site in Ludvika to work with us in an international environment with many opportunities. In this role, you will be part of a small HSE team dedicated to supporting and driving the HSE area for the site in a global organization.

As HSE specialist, your main responsibility will be to work with and drive the areas of Health, Safety, Security and Environment, as well as daily management of property related tasks in our use of our offices, production and test labs. Your role has a particular focus on environmental, energy, chemical and Seveso related issues.

The main focus of the HSE support is towards management team, line functions and processes.

Your responsibilities

  • Drive and develop a strong HSE culture within the organization. Support and coach responsible managers and line functions on how to act and what to do
  • Follow up on HSE objectives, reporting status and what needs to be done
  • Analyze HSE requirements, incident investigations and audit results on a global level to see patterns, root causes, risks and trends within the organization
  • Provide value-adding suggestions, opportunities for improvement and best practices
  • Train, coach and support the organization on health, safety, security and environmental issues
  • Provide assistance and support to external and internal audit teams. Perform or support internal audits of management systems against the requirements of ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 50001:2018.
  • Lead/assist in the performance of risk assessments, investigations of hazards and incidents.
  • Drive and perform property related tasks and activities on a daily basis
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration in the HSE area

Your background

  • We highly value your personality and look for you to have a positive, structured, flexible, driven and proactive mindset
  • You have solid communication and influencing skills to meet and build trust with people at different organizational levels
  • As you will be part of an international environment, both Swedish and English are a must, both spoken and written.
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in health and safety, environment, sustainability or related field. Lack of formal education can be compensated by longer relevant experience and documented achievements.
  • Knowledge of Swedish legislation in the HSE area
