The opportunity

We help our customers contribute to a more sustainable future. By improving and securing the operation of our customers' existing HVDC plants, by replacing all or part of the control system.

Now Technology and Engineering within HVDC Service needs you to take the overall technical responsibility for our deliveries - all the way from capture teams through quotation and project delivery to customer takeover. You will face an exciting challenge in the field of advanced control equipment combined with main circuit aspects within a growing market.

Your responsibilities

• As Lead Engineer you will work together in teams throughout the project cycle, including commissioning at the customer's station.
• Each project typically spans a period of two years.
• Travel is a big part of the work. You will travel to customer meetings and participate in the commissioning of the customer's facility for the projects you are involved in.
• Many of our customers are located in North America, Europe and Scandinavia, but we also have customers in India, Africa, South America and Australia.
• In this role, you can look forward to building up meaningful customer contacts and good development opportunities.

Your background

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power, Renewable Energy or similar engineering degree.
• You have worked with control and protection in power distribution, automation, signal technology or similar.
• It is advantageous to have experience from participating in commissioning and testing of control equipment, as well as leadership experience and that you have worked with control and protection, preferably in HVDC or similar.
• If you have worked as a salesperson in the service market, it is an advantage, as well as if you have experience of main circuit construction.
• You need to be organized and experience working with overall planning.
• A seasoned problem oriented person who thrives on challenges and enjoys an outgoing and customer oriented role with both internal and external stakeholders.
• With engineering interest and your leadership skills, you find it very rewarding to support and lead experienced as well as less experienced engineers in your role.
• Fluent in English and Swedish, both spoken and written. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
