The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy (CS) Landskrona is globally responsible for the development and manufacturing of cooling systems for high-voltage applications, ensuring safe and reliable operation with a focus on customer and environment. Production includes tube and vessel manufacturing, mechanical and electrical assembly, testing and shipping. The products are mainly project designed, with some series production. The largest products are about 5x3x3 m and weigh up to 15 tons, while the smallest weigh about 20 kg.

The business unit has 250 employees and is growing. The site includes Marketing, R&D, Design, Aftermarket and Purchasing, which leads to short decision paths and good understanding of each other's areas.

We are looking for a Production Technical and Planning Manager to lead and develop the department, which consists of four production technicians and two planners, with planned expansion. The role involves responsibility for processes and resources, safe working environment, high quality and service level, as well as driving production improvement projects and developing future-oriented solutions for management, standardization and digitization of production processes. You will lead both large and small projects and collaborate with staff from all parts of the business.

How you will make an impact

  • Drive the development of the organization and employees to meet current and future needs.
  • Lead production engineering projects with a focus on innovation and improvement.
  • Responsible for staff and work environment and ensure that employees have a safe and inspiring work environment.
  • Conduct annual salary and performance appraisals and motivate staff members.
  • Ensure that the department achieves goals and communicate these clearly to all employees.
  • Prepare production for new products and revisions.
  • Coordinate and develop production planning.

Your background

  • Several years of experience in a management role and preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Have a university or college engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead humbly, influence and inspire others.
  • Skilled in change management and ability to work operationally as well as tactically towards strategic goals.
  • Has strong analytical skills and good prioritization and decision making skills.
  • Very good knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
  • You are stress-resistant, understand the importance of meeting deadlines and see opportunities instead of limitations.
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and oral.
