Hitachi Energy Cooling System has a global responsibility for the development and manufacture of cooling systems for power electronics applications as well as other applications requiring water cooling with high reliability and availability. As a Sales Support Project Engineer at Hitachi Energy Cooling Systems, you will mainly work in the sales phase of our projects, supporting the marketing department with technical solutions and interpretations. You will be responsible for ensuring that the customer's specifications regarding electrical design and automation are correctly interpreted, and that we as a company take deviations or sell those that deviate from our usual range. You will ensure that the project team understands what needs to be done at the start of the project and you will assist in any commercial discussions during the project. You will be responsible for ensuring that the technical specifications for electrical design and automation are correctly interpreted, by reading the specifications yourself, discussing with customers and taking help from the area experts in the organization. We are also in the starting blocks for an exciting project with AI, where you will work with AI learning of specification reading.

In the role, you support marketing, and work closely with the marketing department, but you are a spokesperson for the technical department and will be part of our electrical and automation group of about 20-30 people.

The role requires a high level of technical competence, and requires previous experience in electrical design and automation engineering and you may need to prepare electrical documentation, or guide your colleagues to obtain the documentation required during the sales phase. You will be an expert in your field and the solutions to be implemented according to the customer's specification.

The role includes technical responsibility for maintaining Hitachi's quality and complying with applicable standards and specifications. You have no personnel responsibility.

As we have production in Landskrona and you work in a larger engineering team, you can expect that the work will largely take place on site in Landskrona but flexibility for work from home is available.

How you will affect

  • Read specifications and draw up technical sales documentation.
  • Take technical discussions with the customer to sell our solutions.
  • Coordinate market work for technical issues and solutions on electrical design and bring in market requirements for further development of our products.
  • Maintain and maintain time templates for different segments (HVDC/SVC)
  • Basic electrical design, selection of components and solutions and maintain and maintain price analysis on solutions.
  • Basic electrical design of control cabinets, low voltage switchgear (MCC) and junction boxes. Normal voltages, power 208/400/480/690VAC and control 24-220VDC.
  • Workshop, supplier visits and other travel may occur.

Your background

  • About 6-10 years of experience in electrical design and automation in relevant industry such as machine manufacturing, process industry, water and wastewater treatment plants. Of which some years in project activities with external delivery. You have a post-secondary education or a technical education and many years of experience in relevant profession and industry such as
  • You have previously worked with electrical design of industrial automation cabinets, low voltage switchgear or similar.
  • You have previously worked with sales of technical projects or engineering projects.
  • You are used to reading specifications and discussing with customers.
  • You have experience in designing automation cabinets and motor control groups and can design independently in Elprocad or other similar tools.
  • Experience in redundant solutions with focus on "High Availability", such as S2, R1 and R2
  • You have very good knowledge of Swedish and excellent knowledge of technical English and excellent knowledge of both speech and writing.
  • Additional: knowledge of construction according to UL / CSA. Good knowledge of the Machinery Directive and practical experience of electrical cabinet construction (automation). Experience in programming or configuring PLC/DCS/RTU/IPC/HMI or other technical equipment.
